Abstract

The activity of metabolic processes in the body is reflected in the biochemical composition of blood. The activity of various microelements and enzymes is often determined for diagnostic purposes. The aim of the study was to investigate the effect of NCG-N carbamyl glutamate feed additive on the biochemical parameters of blood in fattening bulls. To conduct the experiment, two similar groups of six-month-old bulls were formed using the paired-analogue method. For 90 days, the bulls were individually fed the feed additive as part of a grain mixture at a rate of 5 grams per head per day. The feeding ration in both groups was identical. Blood was collected monthly from the jugular vein before feeding. Biochemical parameters were determined on a veterinary biochemical analyzer using disposable reagent discs. In the blood serum of the experimental bulls, an increase in mineral metabolism indicators was noted - calcium by 5.53, 7.40, 6.20%, phosphorus - 4.54, 6.0, 7.70%, magnesium - 6.25, 5.83, 5.55%, potassium - 3.40, 4.30, 4.40%, chlorine - 5.68, 6.28%, as well as enzymatic activity - alanine aminotransferase by 3.18, 5.95, 6.20% and aspartate aminotransferase - 4.28, 5.95, 6.57%, creatinine kinase - 5.13, 6.19, 8.40%, alkaline phosphatase - 5.42, 6.38, 7.84%, gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase - 6.28, 7.14, 7.87%, glutamate dehydrogenase - 5.98, 8.90, 9.24%. The feed additive influenced the biochemical parameters of the blood, which were manifested in an increase in mineral substances and enzyme activity. It can be argued that the feed additive contributed to an increase in the enzymatic activity of rumen fluid, the transportation and assimilation of dietary nutrients by the body of bulls for anabolic purposes.
