A polyvalent vaccine has been developed for the specific prevention of mastitis in cattle based on inactivated antigens of Streptococcus, Staphylococcus, and E. coli bacteria, which are pathogens of mastitis in cattle. The purpose of these studies was to study the antigenic activity of a polyvalent vaccine on laboratory animals – rabbits and on target animals – cows. The antigenic activity of the vaccine was studied by double subcutaneous administration of the test vaccine to rabbits at a dose of 2 cm³, to cows at a dose of 5 cm³. Before administration, 14 days after the first and second administration of the vaccine, blood samples were taken from animals and their serums were examined for the presence of specific antibodies to Streptococcus, Staphylococcus, E. coli bacteria in the agglutination reaction by the test tube method. It has been established that the polyvalent mastitis vaccine induces the production of specific antibodies in laboratory and target animals in high ranges to all antigenic components of the vaccine. In rabbits, antibodies are produced to the Staphylococcus antigen in titers 853.33±261.28, to the Streptococcus and E. coli antigens in titers 640.0±0.0 and in target animals to the Staphylococcus antigen in titers 917.33±65.71, to the Streptococcus antigen – 906.67±62.58, to the E. coli antigen – 960.00±60.4. This indicates that the antigens contained in the polyvalent vaccine do not act competitively against each other, which indicates the compatibility of the antigenic composition.
