THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE DRUG SPHAGNOSAN IN THE COMPLEX THERAPY OF NONSPECIFIC BRONCHOPNEUMONIA OF CALVES

This article describes a production trial of the drug Sphagnosan for nonspecific bronchopneumonia of calves. Data on the recovery time of calves in the comparison group and in the experimental group, as well as the results of hematological studies, are presented. The duration of treatment of acute bronchopneumonia of calves in the comparison group was 11 days, in the experimental group — 9.3. Recovery of calves with a comprehensive approach to treatment occurred 1.7 days earlier than in analogues using the antibacterial drug Floridox and the vitamin complex Elevit. This is confirmed by the results of hematological studies. According to the obtained data of biochemical blood analysis of calves that had recovered, additionally receiving the complex drug Sphagnosan, no toxic effect on their body was revealed, since any deviations of the main biochemical parameters are equal to those of calves in the control group. Changes in the metabolic work of the liver are primarily associated with the nonspecific bronchopneumonia of calves, which directly led to a change in metabolism in the body.
