Abstract

Most wounds inflicted by animals on each other are bite wounds, other types of injuries are less common. The most common bites in small domestic animals (dogs and cats) are in the ears, back and neck, less often in the limbs and tail. Wounds inflicted by animal teeth are abundantly contaminated with microflora, have uneven edges and often become a serious threat to the animal's life. Given the above, research on the healing process aimed at improving methods of modeling and treating such wounds is extremely relevant. Accurate measurement of the wound surface and standardization of methods for determining the rate of its healing (reduction in size) and calculation of the recovery time of the sick animal are especially important. Also, the study of the main general biological aspects of tissue regeneration is the most important task of modern veterinary medicine and biology and does not lose its relevance. Also, at present, general issues of the pathogenesis of the wound process are being actively studied based on general biological features and pathophysiological aspects of regeneration. The aim of this work was to study the effect of the regeneration stimulator "Sfatro" on the dynamics of the wound process in white rats.

The frequency of skin wounds in animals necessitates acceleration of regeneration and healing, which requires an active search for effective methods of stimulating regeneration. An experiment was conducted to simulate the wound process; it was found that the intensity of wound healing sharply prevailed in the group receiving the drug-stimulator of regeneration "Sfatro". The percentage of reduction of the wound area when using the drug was 44 % on the 7th day, 39.33 % on the 14th day, 18.3 % on the 21st day, 25 %, 20 % and 14 %, respectively, without using the drug. On day 21, the wound area in untreated rats exceeded the wound area of the group receiving the drug by 3.33 times. The use of regeneration stimulators makes it possible to ensure a sufficient level of tissue healing and to have a stimulating effect on the regeneration of the epidermis, which is manifested by shortening the time of epithelization of the wound defect and accelerating stratification.
