Abstract

One of the urgent veterinary problems of modern dairy cattle breeding, based on the breeding of highly productive animals and industrial technologies of housing and exploitation, is the massive manifestation of reproductive disorders in the breeding stock, a sharp decrease in fertility and the duration of productive life. Of the total number of culled cows, the share of reproductive dysfunction in different countries ranges from 20 % to 45 %.

Various endogenous and exogenous factors affecting the body of dairy cows in industrial housing often contribute to the occurrence of various metabolic disorders, which can further lead to a decrease in productivity and reproductive function, causing significant economic losses. As shown by the data of numerous studies, to achieve high indicators of animal productivity and reproductive ability, it is necessary to carry out the entire complex of measures stimulating metabolic processes and preventing infertility based on the use, including, biologically active agents that regulate the state of metabolic processes and stimulate the antioxidant activity of the body in various periods of the reproductive cycle.

The aim of the work was to study the spread of obstetric and gynecological diseases in cows with different metabolic status and to determine the effectiveness of various means on the reproductive qualities of new-bodied cows. As a means of preventing the development of obstetric and gynecological pathology, "Yantovet" containing butaphosphane and succinic acid, as well as anti-luteal blood, which were administered as monotherapy and in combination with each other, were used. The results of the conducted studies show that violations of metabolic processes in deep-bodied and new-bodied cows affect their reproductive function, and the use of means regulating the state of metabolic processes and stimulating the antioxidant activity of the body, contributing to the restoration of the genitals in the postpartum period, lead to a reduction in the manifestation of obstetric and gynecological diseases and improve reproductive properties in cows.
